Absolute pitch recognition, five minutes a day
Solfeto is a daily game for your ear. You hear one tone and say which pitch it is, with no reference note to lean on. Day one is two pitches. Try it here.
Press play to hear a tone. It is a C or an F♯.
Twelve pitches, in the order they join a set. Everyone starts with the two drawn solid, C and F♯.
A session is sixty tones.
About five minutes. Each tone goes the same way.

Eight weeks, one path.
Fifty seven days from the first tone to the last check. This is one learner's path, as an example. Yours moves at your pace.
It plays like a game.
The training is strict about what counts. Everything around it is there to bring you back tomorrow. Press "Train today" and a day goes by.
A streak
Six days running. One session a day holds it.
Five hearts
A wrong answer costs one. Press a heart to see.
Seven steps to each pitch
Step 3 of 7 toward A: 80 percent right.

Gems and a daily goal
40 gemsPress "Train today", or lose a heart and refill it, and this number moves.
Gems come from finished sessions, your daily goal and streak milestones. They buy heart refills and nothing else.
In the 2025 study most participants learned about 7 pitches. Two learned all twelve. Results vary.
Solfeto follows a method from two peer reviewed studies, Van Hedger and colleagues in 2019 and Wong and colleagues in 2025, and it quotes their numbers, not ours.
- The answer after every training tone.
- A check every seventh day with no answers shown.
- Three timbres and four octaves in random order, so you learn the pitch and not the sound.
Seven days free.
- The baseline comes first and costs nothing, so you see where you start.
- Then 7 days of everything, free. After that it is a subscription, by the month or by the year.
- Cancel whenever you like. No countdowns and no discounts that were never real.
Do I need an instrument?
No. A phone and five minutes. Headphones help.
What if I miss some days?
Missed days are fine. The programme recalibrates instead of punishing.
Is this the same as interval training?
No. Interval training compares two notes. Here you name one note on its own. Solfeto has interval training as well, as a separate track that opens after your first session.
Does it work without a connection?
Yes. You sign in once to keep your training safe. After that Solfeto works offline.
What does it cost?
The App Store shows the price in your currency before you choose, by the month or by the year. The first 7 days are free, and you cancel in your Apple account settings whenever you like.
Start with two notes.
Solfeto is on its way to the App Store for iPhone. The first 7 days will be free.
